Functions - Terms & Conditions

  1. CONFIRMATION: Confirmation of a booking must be made in writing within 14 days of the original reservation. The Management of the Restaurant reserves the right to cancel the booking and allocate the venue to another client if confirmation is not received.
     
  2. DEPOSIT: A minimum deposit of $5.00 per person is required at the time of confirmation.
     
  3. FINAL NUMBERS: Anticipated final numbers are requested ten days prior to function date. Final numbers are required three clear working days prior to your event. This number will represent the minimum number of guests for which you will be charged. A surcharge of 3% will apply to all payments made on AMEX & DINERS.
     
  4. MINIMUM NUMBER SURCHARGE: $35.00 per person under 40 people.
     
  5. PRICE: Prices are subject to change but are firm from payment of a deposit for a period of 12 months.
     
  6. MENU: Details must be finalised at least two weeks prior to the function so that our chefs can assure the quality and availability of food.
     
  7. COMMENCEMENT AND VACATING OF RESTAURANT: The organiser agrees to begin the function and vacate the Restaurant at the scheduled times agreed upon. In the event that a function should go beyond the agreed finishing time, a charge of $150.00 for each additional 30 minutes or part thereof will be incurred, and drinks served will be charged on consumption.
     
  8. COMPLIANCE: It is understood that the organiser will conduct the function in an orderly manner in full compliance with the Adelaide Botanic Gardens Regulations and with all laws. The Management reserves the right to exclude or eject any and all objectionable persons from the Adelaide Botanic Gardens without liability.
     
  9. RESPONSIBILITY: Organisers are financially responsible for any damage/breakages sustained to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens by the Organiser, Organisers Guests, Invitees or other persons attending the function. The Botanic Garden Restaurant will not accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of merchandise left prior to or after the function. Organisers should arrange their own insurance and/or security.
     
  10. PAYMENT: Fixed costs of the function are to be paid one week prior to your function. The outstanding amount will be sent by post and is payable with in 7 days. Failure to pay would imply that the applying company agrees to pay costs of a collection agency or a solicitor for recovery.
     
  11. CANCELLATION: In case of cancellation the Botanic Garden Restaurant will refund the deposit less a booking fee of 10% up to 90 days prior to the function. Within 90 days to 45 days prior to the function, the Botanic Garden Restaurant will retain the full deposit received as compensation for lost business. Within 45 days prior to the function the organiser shall, upon demand of the Botanic Garden Restaurant, pay all function costs incurred by the Botanic Garden Restaurant, unless the date is otherwise re-booked.
     
  12. CLEANING: General cleaning is included in the cost of the function. If cleaning requirements following your function are judged to be excessive, additional cleaning charges will be incurred.
    Confetti is not permitted in either the Botanic Garden Restaurant or the grounds of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
     
  13. PARKING: Vehicle parking is available on Plane Tree Drive.
